When

Tulips peak in mid-April; summer is mild and busy; autumn is quiet and rainy. Bring a layer in any month.

Getting around

Trains connect every city in under an hour. Check in and out with a bank card, no ticket needed.

Money

Cards nearly everywhere, but a few markets still take cash only. Tipping is a rounding-up, not a rule.

Language

Dutch, and English almost everywhere. A "dank je wel" is always welcome.
